Roland Schmehl is Associate Professor at ASSET since 1 October 2009. With a background in Computational Fluid Dynamics in the fields of low emission combustion, liquid propellant space propulsion and airbag deployment, he is now exploring the potential of kite power
generation and propulsion. His presentation outlines the current state of research on kites and planned developments for 2010 and 2011.
