Come Paddle for Clean Water! - Surfrider DC chapter event
By admin • Sep 1st, 2009 • Category: News

If you only attend one Surfrider event this year, make it this one!
Join the Surfrider Foundation’s DC Chapter as we hold our 15th annual Paddle for Clean Water. Bring your surfboards, paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, or any other non-motorized watercraft and paddle with us from the Thompson Boat Center to Key Bridge. On the way back, we’ll be stopping at Roosevelt Island and the mouth of Rock Creek to pick up any trash we can find. Prizes for the first longboard, shortboard, and wahine to reach the bridge. Refreshments will be provided. Educational material and giveaways from REI, DC Department of the Environment, EarthShare, and others will also be available.
