PASA - insurance program for recreational kiteboarders
By webmaster • Nov 29th, 2008 • Category: Kiteboarding, NewsThe Professional Air Sports Association provides free liability insurance through First Flight Insurance Group to PASA’s recreational members.
Christopher Nygard, chairman of PASA, said he feels kiteboarders often overlook the importance of insurance coverage.
“In an extreme sport such as kiteboarding, personal liability insurance provides peace of mind to our kiteboarding members,” Nygard said.
The insurance program for kiteboarders covers accidents that damage property and cause bodily injury to others.
To be eligible for PASA’s recreational membership, kiteboarders must first have their skills certified by one of PASA’s instructors.
In addition to personal liability insurance, for an annual membership fee of $50, PASA recreational members also receive a subscription to Kiteboard Magazine, $20 off a premium membership to ikitesurf.com , monthly e-newsletter and special retail discounts available to PASA members only.
