DC Surfrider beach clean-up at Key Box, Delaware

By webmaster • Sep 5th, 2008 • Category: Kiteboarding, News

DC Surfrider has “adopted” a stretch of beach in the Delaware Seashore State Park. It is a commitment to keeping this area clean and litter-free throughout the year. The goal of the Adopt-a-Beach program is to promote environmental awareness, recycling, and litter abatement through community involvement. It gives people the satisfaction of directly making their beach a better place to visit. At least two beach cleanups are planned annually, but everyone is encouraged to visit at any time of the year and pick up trash.

Our next beach cleanup is:
Saturday, September 6th- 10:30am to 1:30pmDue to Tropical Storm Hanna, the cleanup has been moved one day to Sunday, September 7th - 10:30am to 1:30pm

Please check the calendar for future cleanup events. Please e-mail info@dcsurfrider.org if you have any questions or want to help with a cleanup.

The beach is accessible by Keybox Road, which is on the east side of Route 1 in the Delaware Seashore State Park.
